Helen Hickman is a textiles maker living in Llanwrda, Carmarthenshire.

Also Known as Nellie and Eve, Helen sources, washes, cards, spins, weaves, knits and crochets wool, all by hand. Her traditional methods represent hundreds of years of history of textile manufacture. Helen makes beautiful and practical products from one of the most versatile, natural resources abundant in Wales, with all of her products travelling no further than the county she lives until leaving for their new owner.

David White is a whittler living in Llandyrnog, Denbigh.

David lives and breathes wood and whittling. From his handmade, green wood timber work shed in his back garden overlooking the Clwydian Range, David makes spoons, vessels, bowls and more demonstrating a variety of traditional methods and techniques. David creates practical and useful pieces that could be considered as contemporary art. He carves from natural materials sourced locally, also by hand.

Llio James is a weaver living in Aberystwyth.

Weaving was once one of the most thriving industries in rural Wales and forms a significant part of Welsh history and culture. Llio James’ contemporary woven designs are a nod to tradition and are very much keeping weaving in Wales alive. Working by hand and with one of the oldest running Woollen Mills in Wales, Llio creates beautiful woollen products designed to be used and treasured forever.
