I am super excited to announce that Jwrnal will curate a brand new area at the festival in 2018 focussing solely on Welsh Craft!
'Jwrnal founder Sarah Hellen is putting together a fantastic roster of 20 makers from all over wales, from potters to woodworkers, silversmiths, basket makers, shoemakers, textile artists, natural dyers and more. Festival goers will have the chance to learn about the crafts represented, and to have a go themselves, with guidance from the experts. There will also be talks, with some of these brilliant Welsh makers telling their stories.'
For those of you that have been following Jwrnal for the past few months, you will know that the main launchpad for the platform was the amazing Good Life Experience Festival back in September this year. I have never come across a festival quite like it; I came away full of ideas from great conversations, inspired by talks, having learnt new skills and met a load of new and interesting people, full of amazing food (and drink) and having lost my voice on the dancefloor. The Good Life team work so hard to put together what really is a special weekend, and I am so glad to have been invited back next year, with an even bigger and more exciting opportunity of curating a whole tent dedicated to Welsh Craft. Keep your eyes peeled for updates running up to the event, sign up to the Good Life newsletter and make sure you clear these dates in your diary! 14 - 15 -16 September 2018
