Cultivating Creativity in an old fisherman's hut
Meet Spot, one half go Sea & Slate, who along with her friends is converting an old Fisherman's hut in Llangrannog into a new and exciting gallery space to showcase local artists and craftspeople.
Sea & Slate /Mor a Mynydd is a Welsh holiday cottage rental business with a very keen aesthetic sensibility. The Gallery was born out of the need to showcase create and promote the incredible talents of our beautiful Welsh arts & crafts.
It all started with commissioning artist and illustrator Tom Frost, (based in Llanboidy, Carmarthenshire) to design our logo and signage for the gallery.
The Gallery is based in a tiny old fisherman's shed, by the sea in Llangrannog - With the help of the local artists, we have spent the last few months lime rendering and lime washing the interior, exposing the tiny fireplace and giving the shed a fresh and new lease of life. The community of Llangrannog has pulled together an amazing array of talent producing paintings, slate carvings, glass jewellery, print making, fab photography, weaving, bronze work and wire sculptures!
The Gallery will be featuring Welsh guest artists / artisans work and would love to hear from any that may wish to be involved contact us on. Contact Spot on firstname.lastname@example.org
